What is “A Random Act of Kindness?” Our wonderful online friend of Wikipedia actually has a pretty decent definition of it.
“A random act of kindness is a selfless act performed by a person or people wishing to either assist or cheer up an individual person or people.” –Wikipedia.com
Did you know that there is actually a group that is call “Random Acts of Kindness.” Ask us this a couple months back and we have never heard of them. Fast forward to now and we have not only heard of them, but we are now out helping and volunteering with this great group. This group does so much around the Dallas area, but one specific activity that they do that really stuck out to us is one they do every Saturday. From 11am to 2pm every Saturday Random Acts of Kindness meets at Excuses Extreme Cafe (3025 Main St.) to make over 1500 bologna and cheese sandwiches for the SoupMobile.
This past week some TangoTab volunteers went to work putting these sandwiches together with other volunteers at Random Acts of Kindness. It just so happened this past Saturday set a new record of with 115 of them. Throughout the time there the people made over 2500 sandwiches to be distributed throughout the week to feed the hungry.
The TangoTab team would love to set up a volunteer opportunity with you and your friends to help feed the hungry. If you are interested send an email to nmarino@tangotab.com and we will set an event up for you.
