Here’s how you can get involved–

You’re invited to give back with us on #GivingTuesday! Unite your efforts with other #BigDGives participants to help Dallas earn the title of “Most Generous City in the Nation” this year.

Most importantly, help usher in the holiday season with the spirit of giving and gratitude. Additionally, please note that expressions of generosity for #BigDGives are not limited to monetary donations.

They may include gifts of time, acts of kindness, or other kinds of service that help others– like the WFAA Big D Gives Kickoff Live event.

What Is Giving Tuesday?

Giving Tuesday is an international day of giving that takes places on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving.

Since Giving Tuesday began five years ago, this day has inspired acts of generosity around the world.

What Is WFAA’s Big D Gives Kickoff Live Event?

Dallas is participating in a citywide initiative on Giving Tuesday 2017 called Big D Gives, powered by United Way.

This year, building on North Texas Giving Day, Big D Gives will lead Dallas into the holiday season in the spirit of thanksgiving and gratitude.

#BigDGives Kickoff Live on WFAA Channel 8’s Daybreak this year will include United Way Campaign Chair Troy Aikman and volunteers fighting hunger by putting together hundreds of meals for people in need with TangoTab’s Feed The City.

How Can I Volunteer For The Live Kickoff Event?

Is The Event Family Friendly?

Yes! Anyone who can make a sandwich is invited to join.

Where And When Is The Event?

The event will take place on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Victory Park in Dallas, Texas (3030 Olive Street, 75219), and the time of the event is 4:45 a.m.- 7 a.m.

Do I need To Bring Anything?

All materials for putting together the meals will be provided. Bring yourself, your family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors– and your spirit of giving and community.
