Do you do the full 20% or just 15%? That is the question when your check comes at the end of your meal. How much should you tip? Well, that’s not the case for a sushi restaurant in Midtown Manhattan. This restaurant decided to take the paying of the servers upon themselves and no longer have you leave a tip.
Sushi Yasuda which has been around for 14 years is increasing their menu prices by 15% and now paying their wait staff a salary. Is this crazy? Not really, by making this move it brings their dining experience to a more European feel.
What do you think about this? Is this just an idea that you will see a small amount of restaurants try or do you see this as a trend that takes over restaurants all around the US?
