Turkey Day Delivery: Thanksgiving Dinner For Those In Need

Deliver Thanksgiving Dinner To Those In Need: 5th Annual Turkey Day Delivery

We have a great opportunity for a hands-on volunteering experience that you and your family can enjoy together this Thanksgiving. Join us for our 5th Annual Turkey Day Delivery.

DFW friends- we hope to see you there!

What You’ll Do

Deliver turkeys, turkey baskets, and hot meals directly to families in need at their homes.

Upon arriving for Turkey Day Delivery, first, wait in line with other volunteers to get your delivery assignment and maps.

Next, get in your car and pull up in the Volunteer line to get boxed dinners for your assigned deliveries.

Then, take the Thanksgiving dinners to your assigned recipients!

This is an awesome way to be with family and friends on Thanksgiving while giving back together. Turkey Day Delivery kicks off the holiday with a spirit of giving!

Where And When We’ll Meet

Meet at Mission Arlington’s main office (210 W South Street, 76010) promptly at 7:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving Morning.

Look for the orange TangoTab banners upon arrival. Typically, the street is blocked off, so you can’t miss it!

What To Bring And Not Bring To Turkey Day Delivery

Mission Arlington is not requesting food donations on this day because they box up Thanksgiving dinners for delivery in advance.

If you want to donate extra food items, then we suggest keeping them in your car and adding them to the boxes once you’re making deliveries. This way you do not slow down the volunteer pickup line. Please do not include any drinks, fresh fruit/veggies, or desserts.

Additionally, feel free to bring coffee or breakfast for yourself to enjoy while you wait in line to pick up the Thanksgiving boxes.

Other Details

Please clean out your trunk/back seat prior to arriving so that you have room to transport the meals.

Also, please note that Turkey Day Delivery happens rain or shine!

Finally, there are many apartments on the routes. Make sure that you have people in your group who are comfortable climbing stairs, and wear suitable shoes.

If you can’t make it but are interested in giving back to those in need, check out our full event schedule here.

Also, download the TangoTab app if you haven’t yet to help others in need every time you dine out!
